FAQ

  • What makes you different from other advance providers?

RoyFi®’s mission is to provide flexible, artist-friendly solutions to artists’ needs; unlike our competitors that charge high rates, and separate artists from their cash flow for long periods (greater than 2 years). At RoyFi®, we are working to close the gap between our rates and bank rates; providing artists with viable opportunities to leverage their own balance sheets, and invest in themselves.

  • Is a RoyFi® advance a loan?

No. When we provide an advance, the only thing we can collect is the amount of future royalty payments we purchased. If your advance takes longer to recoup than we thought, there are no fees or interest.

  • Are you buying my copyrights?

No, you maintain full control and ownership of your copyrights. As RoyFi® advances are not loans, you do not pledge your copyrights as collateral, and there is no way for you to lose control of your copyright.

  • What if I have bad credit?

Because RoyFi® advances are not loans, your credit score does not matter. As long as you own your copyrights free and clear, we look forward to working with you.

  • Can I take an advance if I already have an outstanding advance?

Yes. In most situations, we can work with you to pay off your existing advance and provide you the money that you need for your next project.

  • Do I have to assign 100% of my royalty payments to take an advance?

No. In most cases, we can structure your advance so that you continue to receive a portion of your normal royalty cash flow. Most of our competitors don’t allow this.

  • Is there any cost to apply?

No. Use the “Apply Now” button below for a free quote.

  • Do you offer a referral fee?

Yes. We believe in sharing with those who help others. Call for details on our revenue share program.

  • How long does it take to receive my money?

That depends on a number of factors, but mainly, it depends on how long it takes the royalty-paying organization to accept our assignment. Once the advance is approved, you can expect to receive the funds within 1-3 business days.

  • How much do you charge for an advance?

Our rates depend on your unique circumstances, but we are confident that they are significantly lower than others.

  • If my earnings increase and my advance is recouped in less time than expected, will my fee go down?

Yes! Our fee never goes up, even if it takes longer for your royalties to pay back; however, if your royalties recoup faster than we anticipate, we will reduce our fee and give you full credit as though we had underwritten the advance to a shorter time period. We want to succeed with our clients, not at their expense like our competitors.
